In the Fall of 2023, the Indigenous Women’s Justice team traveled across BC and hosted 17 in person engagement sessions to gather feedback on the Indigenous Women’s Justice Plan: Guiding Draft and heard from those this work impacts most.
Following the engagement sessions, the lived experiences and stories shared were thoughtfully integrated into the development of the Final Draft of the Indigenous Women’s Justice Plan (IWJP). In April 2024 the Indigenous Women’s Justice Plan Final Draft was released at the 3rd Annual Justice Forum.
In holding true to our values of transparency and accountability we are inviting all Indigenous communities to attend this upcoming webinar where our team will be providing an update on the progress of the work since the release of the IWJP Final Draft earlier this year.
We look forward to having everyone join us in this virtual circle as we come together with a shared passion to move this work forward in a good way with Indigenous Women, Girls and 2S+ voices at the center.
We’re asking that you please submit any questions that you may have for the team in advance to: [email protected]
