Protecting your privacy is our priority, and all of your records are kept strictly confidential. We collect, use and disclose your information only where permitted or authorized to under the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Our staff comply with strict security measures to ensure that Personal Information is appropriately protected from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. We protect and secure your information by:
- the use of locked filing cabinets,
- physically securing offices where Personal Information is held.
- the use of user IDs, passwords, encryption, firewalls, and,
- restricting employee and service provider access to Personal Information on a need to know basis.
Further, when developing any new program or activity that involves Personal Information, BCFNJC conducts an assessment to ensure that safeguards for your Personal Information are in place.
Technology has introduced new challenges for privacy and security. The BCFNJC continually reviews and updates its privacy and information security controls as technology changes to ensure ongoing protection of your Personal Information.
