The Fort Nelson First Nation Justice Center (FNFNJC) assists Fort Nation First Nation and surrounding communities in the local administration of justice in a culturally relevant fashion. The Justice Center strives to work with our clients in a meaningful way that incorporates ownership, consequences for actions, and innovative alternatives to mainstream justice.
FNFNJP - Adult Program
Services include but are not limited to bail and probation monitoring; diversion and alternative measures programming, restorative justice circles, coordination of community work service; and facilitation of culturally relevant healing plans.
FNFNJP - Youth Program
FNFNJC assists with the monitoring of young offenders under the supervision of the Youth Probation office of the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Additional services for youth include: extrajudicial sanctions and extrajudicial measures, restorative justice circles, healing circles, community work service.
