BCFNJC Regional Justice Forum (North)

March 10 - March 11

Registration for this event and more information will be available soon.

The Regional Justice Forum (North) will bring together First Nations leadership, community members, justice partners, and service providers, deepening our relationships with the communities we serve. In fulfillment of Strategy 16, this forum ensures that the 204 First Nations in B.C. have the opportunity to inform critical justice-related decisions at the provincial and federal levels.

This is an opportunity to engage with the BC First Nations Justice Strategy and the National Indigenous Justice Strategy, sharing your knowledge, elevating community-based solutions, and to guide the advancement of the BC First Nations Justice Strategy through dialogue and collaboration through the lens of justice topics that are a priority in your community.

The BCFNJC Regional Justice Forum (North) will focus on:

  • Community wellness and prevention before police involvement
  • Pre-charge and post-charge diversion models
  • Indigenous justice programs and alternatives to incarceration
  • Reintegration and post-release supports
  • The National Indigenous Justice Strategy
