The BC First Nations Justice Council invites communities to join our Police Accountability Unit for a day of dialogue, education, and direct support. Since our pilot launched, the unit has provided legal representation and support to Indigenous people affected by police violence, misconduct, and negligence. As we explore more options for Indigenous-led oversight and accountability in policing, your voice is essential to ensure our accountability mechanisms are culturally safe and effective.

We are hosting regional engagement sessions in communities including Prince George, Prince Rupert, and Victoria, to hear directly from community members, service providers, and partners on experiences, perspectives, and opportunities related to policing oversight and accountability.
