Justice Gathering – Prince George
We warmly invite you to join us for an important discussion about the justice system in Prince George. The BCFNJC looks forward to sharing our innovative Indigenous Diversion Centre model with the community. Together we will hear from our valued partners and First Nations leaders on how we can address the over-incarceration of Indigenous community members and work toward better justice outcomes for all.
Topics will include:
- Remarks from Lheidli T’enneh leaders, justice partners, and the RCMP
- An overview of the Indigenous Diversion Centre and how it aligns with the BC First Nations Justice Strategy
- Elder Marcel Gagnon on why Ceremony is key to healing
- Enhancing diversion through community-based alternatives
